Fix HP Deskjet Printer Driver Issues With Wireless Printer Guide

1. Firstly, make sure that your Device and network are compatible. If you want to use HP Auto Wireless Connect, the following are the requirements you need to check out first.

   1. Your system should be using a dynamic IP address.

   2. Computer needs to be running operating systems - Windows Vista, OS X 10.5 (Leopard) or later (Macintosh).

   3. Computers should use a wireless connection to the network and the OS.

   4. 802. 11 b/g/n wireless network over a 2.4 GHz connection is required. At present HP doesn't support 5.0GHz networks. 

2. Go to HP's official website and search for the right driver by entering the model number of your printer.

3. Double-click on the software file to open a printer setup process when you find it. 

4. Next, turn on your printer. If the printer is compatible with HP Auto Wireless Connect, turning it on prepares it to connect. 

5. Now, make sure to follow the directions on the screen. Keep following until you find the Network section. 

6. Choose the Network (Ethernet/Wireless) option in the middle of the page.

7. Next, click Yes, and send my wireless settings to the printer. It will locate the printer and send information about the wireless network to the printer.

8. Wait for some time to let the printer connect.

11. When the setup completes, restart your printer. 

Issue 1: HP Deskjet Printer Driver is Unavailable on Windows 

The printer driver unavailable error prevents the HP Deskjet printer from working properly. This issue can annoy users as they can't print, scan and copy until it resolves. Luckily, there are three fixes that you can try to solve this irritating error. 

Solution 1: Install All Windows Updates

An out-of-date Windows system can create this issue. Fix the above bug by updating your Windows. 

1. Press the Windows logo key + I simultaneously on your keyboard. It will open the Windows settings menu.
2. After that, click on Update & Security.
3. Later, you have to hit Check for updates.
   
4. Wait for sometime and then reboot your computer.

5. Finally, restart your computer to allow the changes to take place. Windows will then install the right driver. 

Solution 3: Check for Damaged and Corrupt System Files 

Use the Diagnose and Fix tool to resolve common errors in the HP printer. Use this tool to troubleshoot the printer not found on the network. It is a tool built into the HP Smart app for Mac and Windows computers. 

1. Install the HP Smart app
2. Launch the app first and then open the HP Smart app.
3. In the next step, open Diagnose & Fix. You can see a Diagnose & Fix icon in the bottom-left corner.
4. In the next step, click on Start.
5. Follow the instructions provided as per the issue found. If no issues are found, you will get to see this screen. 
   

Issue 2: HP Deskjet Printer Driver Download Fails

If you face this issue, determine whether you have installed anti-virus software. First, try to deactivate it temporarily and then install the built-in printer drivers. Install a built-in printer driver for your HP Deskjet by going to HP Printers - Installing and Using the Windows Built-in Printer Driver. 1. As your initial step, click on the Windows icon first.
2. Then, go to Settings and then hit Accounts.
3. Choose Family and other users and then click Add someone else to this computer.
   
4. Next, choose I don't have this person's sign-in information.
   
5. Later, choose a username, type the account password twice and then enter a clue. Click Next then.
6. Select the user icon by first clicking on the Windows icon.
7. Choose the new users and Sign into your account.
